Q: Does anyone know the necessary vaccinations one needs before traveling to Kosovo as well as the extended Balkans region?
A: There are no vaccinations actually required to visit Kosovo. However, travelers should have the normal range of vaccinations everyone should get. Those include influenza, chickenpox (or varicella), polio, measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), and diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT). A vaccination against typhoid is recommended for travelers to all of eastern Europe. You should get vaccinations against hepatitis A & B even if you never leave home. In all cases, consult your physician before getting any vaccinations. http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/destinationSerbia.aspx
